Something curious…
Lately, I've been noticing a trend among companies. Take a look— what do they have in common?
Despite the very different industries, all of these companies feature illustration as a key part of their brand. And notice— in these examples, it's not just about the aesthetic; they help communicate, too!
Illustrations have often been used in technology to help break up text or add visual flair. I’m sure you’ve seen this in apps that integrate pictures or artwork to make the user interface look more beautiful. But that’s such a small portion of what they can truly do!
In reality, illustrations are powerful tools to effectively conveying dense, complex ideas very quickly. But not just that— I would argue that they provide one of the most distinguishing, multi-purpose functions to a product experience. When used skillfully, they can simultaneously explain your product, forge human connection, and distinguish your brand, in one fell swoop.
